Bad Restaurant Experience? Call!

There is a restaurant that we love to frequent. However, we’ve had a few experiences lately that have made me hesitant to go back. I then heard from another friend that they had the same issue.

So today I called their customer service phone number and told them my concerns.

They were so appreciative of me calling. Corporate office doesn’t know what goes on at the local level unless they hear from us.

If you have a problem, consider taking the time to call. The top bosses want to hear!

Thanks for the good information. We should always do this when the service of food is not acceptable. Most places appreciate the feedback.

Unfortunately, you have to be careful even doing that. :/

A friend and I began having consistently disappointing service from our favorite lunch spot, so we both sent (separate) emails to the corporate office detailing a visit that was basically the straw that broke the camel’s back. Corporate responded with an apology and a gift card – but every single time we’ve gone back, the wait staff has asked pointed questions that are obviously related to our feedback.

(Example: one of the complaints we had was that my friend had to leave in an hour for an appointment, and the wait staff assured us the food would be ready in 10 minutes… 45 minutes later, food still hadn’t arrived and my friend had to leave for her appointment. Now, wait staff pointedly asks (very sweetly, natch), “Are we on a time limit today?”) Needless to say, we are very uncomfortable going there now and have moved on to other lunch spots.

All of that to say – don’t be too specific in your complaints if you’re a frequent visitor and they can identify you! :)
