Hi All! It’s been awhile and for that I sincerely apologize! My little ones seemed to be in competition to see how many days they could get Mommy to miss from work with their different ailments, appointments and adventures over the last few months. Alas, we seem to finally be getting back on track and have been sick-free for almost a week – a huge accomplishment in this household!
Exciting news to share with you all…my husband and I have been chosen to participate in The Money Fix sponsored by Daily Worth. I love the Daily Worth website because it sends you simple financial tips and suggestions on a daily basis (Monday-Friday) with some humor and real life application. The site is geared to women, but the information can be applied to everyone. Each day focuses on different aspects of finances – budgeting, investing, saving, etc.
I’m a budgeter – my husband is the far extreme opposite. This definitely makes things a little special, to say the least, in our household sometimes. I’m hoping our participation in this will get us on the right financial track TOGETHER and help us be better financial role models for our children.
To prepare for our counseling sessions and financial upheaval, we FINALLY sat down to assess what household bills each was paying and the monthly expense of each (I know, shame on us for not having a combined one) and agreed to open a joint account to pay household expenses out of. For us, those are huge steps considering we’ve basically lived as roommates where our finances are concerned for the past 6 years.
I’m excited and will definitely come back and share our successes throughout this journey!
Any couples out there want to share their financial successes and what works best for your family?
