Biggest Treehouse Ever!

Last weekend my family climbed what is quite possibly the biggest treehouse in the world! I can’t believe we’ve driven within 5 miles of this amazing roadside attraction for over 15 years and never knew it was there.

Located in Crossville, TN, just minutes off the interstate you can find one of the most amazing treehouses. The admission for this incredible attraction? FREE!

Directions:
Take exit 320 off I40
Turn north onto TN-298
Turn right on Cook Drive
Turn left on Beehive Lane
Located at the end of the gravel road

This treehouse is made mostly from reclaimed wood with little attention to design. It is commonly known as the “Minister’s Treehouse“.

When we were there, we could see evidence that someone has been replacing wood planks at different places throughout the treehouse. Once you find yourself in the center of the treehouse, you will find many rooms with varying pieces of furniture, chairs, church pulpit….even an old bathtub up on one of the highest roofs.

This is not a pristine place to play like a Mcdonalds playland, where parents sit down in an air conditoned room and watch. This is a place for the whole family to explore and experience the excitement of seeing what is around the next step, ladder or crooked path. Believe me when I say that I was holding on tight to my 4 year old son’s hand!

Make sure you check out the swing on the back side of the treehouse.

And don’t miss the crooked, leaning slide…..

This is a must see place if you are traveling through Crossville, TN! Have you been here? Am I the only person who had never heard of this treehouse? I’d love to hear about your visit!
