What do you do with all the surplus body wash, toothpaste and deodorant that you accumulate with your coupons?   One great option is to send a care package to someone serving in the military.  Because military addresses  (APO etc) cost no more than sending someting stateside, it’s very affordable.  You can fill a flat rate envelope for only $4.90!  Doesn’t matter how much it weighs.  If it fits, it ships.

  • Put spillable items in ziploc bags to reduce chance of mess.
  • Don’t send food items that can melt.

Care package ideas:  body wash, bar of soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, chapstick, sunblock, first aid kit, hard candy that won’t melt, gum, paper towels, air freshener.  Basically whatever items you have extra.

This seems a small thing to do on my part but it really means alot to those overseas when they get a package from home!

What a fantastic idea! I know several couponers that have tons of items like this. I’ll definitely be telling them about this!
