in Frugal fun

Recently my friend Amy took a trip to visit the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal. Here’s her review of the trip!

This museum complex consists of:
Duke Energy Children’s Museum
Cincinnati History Museum
Natural History & Science
Omnimax Theater

All the museums, along with a a food court and gift shops are housed in an old Union passenger train terminal. The architecture is really cool inside and out. The huge fountain out front makes an excellent backdrop for photos, or turn around for a backdrop of the downtown buildings.

We toured the Children’s Museum when Connor was age 4. He was a great age, but older and younger children would also enjoy it. It’s hands-on learning and fun. Considering his age, spending a couple of hours in the children’s museum was all we could do that day, but I would love to go back and check out the rest of the exhibits.

There are various ticket options depending on which museums you want to tour and if you want to watch a movie.

I wouldn’t call it a cheap outing, but it’s one of those things you really should check out if you’re in Cincinnati.

We took the kids to the Children’s Museum a few years ago. It was a really neat experience! Thanks for sharing Amy!

Have you ever visited? I’d love to hear what you thought!
