When I write a book review, I try to always remember that the book is an investment of many years from most authors. They have put their life into every page. I want to give my honest opinion and tell you about the book but I try to always remember that authors are real people too.

This last week I posted my review of Cleaning House and told my thoughts about the book. I was thrilled to hear from the author – Kay Wyma! Here’s her comments.

Don’t forget to hop over and enter to win this great book!

Thanks so much for the review! … I especially appreciate your honesty.

We struggled with the concept of paying the kids to do what they should have been doing all along and with the amount. Needless to say, since the dollar was taken away if the deeds weren’t done, very rarely did a kid get all of the dough at the end of the month. At the end of the day, though, we found lots more pitching and and very real changes in the attitudes. The crazy thing, none of them have spent their money. What they used to beg for (games, clothes, accessories, etc.) have taken a major back seat to larger items they hope to get in the future… like a car. If only I could find a mechanic to let them help out in a garage over the summer so they could learn how to fix a car.

Anyway, lots of words to say thanks. Bring on the comments… We’re all in this together.

Thanks Kay for taking the time to come read my review!
