Called the “Niagara of the South,” the 125-foot wide curtain of water is a must-see waterfall. Located a few minutes off the interstate, you can find Cumberland Falls. You can take a short walk over to the top of the waterfall or go for another small walk (with quite a few steps) and get a view from the bottom of the falls.

This is one of those Kentucky sights that is worth seeing!

Every month during a full moon, you can see a moonbow, a phenomenon not found anywhere else in the Western Hemisphere. (The next moonbow should be the week of August 11-15.)

There is no admission fee to view the falls or enter the park.
