Today’s Money Saving Idea: Shop Like a Local
Last week I told you to Act like a tourist in your own backyard; but today I’m telling you that you can save money on vacations by shopping like a local. When we visited the Bahamas years ago, we didn’t buy snacks and bottled water at the touristry shops. Instead we took a long walk and found the local grocery store and bought our supplies there. When we stayed in the Gatlinburg area, we stopped by CVS to restock our snacks and saved money by using our Extra Bucks. Just because you’re on vacation does not mean you have to pay the tourist prices.
Got an idea to save money that doesn’t involve a coupon? I’d love to hear!
